Holy Week Liturgy Schedule 

Monday of Holy Week (April 14) Mass at 12:15 p.m. 
Tuesday of Holy Week (April 15) Mass at 7:30 a.m. 
Wednesday of Holy Week (Apr. 16) School Mass-8:30 a.m. 

Holy Thursday, April 17 

Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7 p.m. The Mass of the Lord’s Supper begins the Sacred Paschal Triduum. The church bells ring during the singing of the Gloria and then remain silent until the singing of the Gloria at the Easter Vigil. On this night we remember the Last Supper and the institution of the Eucharist. The Sacred Oils are presented and the priest washes the feet of twelve parishioners recalling Jesus’ washing the feet of his disciples. 

Altar of Repose 
At the conclusion of the Mass of the Lord’s Supper, the Holy Eucharist that is reserved for distribution at the Good Friday Service is taken in procession to the Altar of Repose in the commons area. The Altar of Repose remains open until Midnight. Will you watch one hour with our Lord?)  

Good Friday of the Passion of the Lord, April 18 

(Day of Fast and Abstinence from Meat for Catholics) Morning Prayer at 9 a.m. Stations of the Cross at 12Noon Confessions 12:30-3p Via Crucis (Spanish Stations) at 1:30 p.m. Spanish Meditation at 2 p.m. Good Friday Service of the Lord’s Passion at 7 p.m. This service is a somber remembrance of Jesus’ crucifixion and death. The reading of the Passion, veneration of the Holy Cross, and reception of Holy Communion are part of this special service. Via Dolorosa (Sorrowful Way) at 9:30 p.m. 

Holy Saturday, April 19 

Morning Prayer at 9 a.m. Blessing of Easter Food at 9:30 a.m. Easter Vigil Mass in the Holy Night at 8:30 p.m. The Vigil begins in darkness. The new fire is lit and the new Paschal Candle, representing the light of Christ, comes into the Church. The Holy Water font and water will be blessed . Our Elect receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist). All the faithful renew their baptismal promises. Once again the church bells will ring out and alleluias will be sung — Alleluia!! He is Risen! A reception will follow in the commons. 

Easter Sunday, April 20 

Masses: 8:30a, 10:30a, 12:30p, Spanish Mass-2:30p (Easter Egg Hunt on the playground after the 12:30 Mass Easter Sunday — Egg Hunt begins at approx. 1:50 p.m.)
