"And
whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of
the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him. (Colossians 3:17)
Established in 1949, St. Anne's Catholic School is Bristol, Virginia's
only Catholic school and its oldest, existing, non-public school.
The faculty and staff strive to provide a stimulating learning environment
which will meet the unique needs of our students and help them develop
spiritually, intellectually, socially, and physically. A strong,
well-balanced curriculum employing a variety of learning approaches
prepares the students for their responsibilities in a changing world.
The educational process is further enhanced by the cooperative efforts
of students, teachers, administration, parents, the governing body,
and other concerned members of the community.
Serving a diverse student population in grades Pre-K through 8,
St. Anne's Catholic School is committed to the values of Catholic
Christian education. Spiritual training is aimed at developing the
individual student's personal faith commitment.
The aims of Catholic education are:
1. to build a Christian learning community based upon the
Gospel of
Jesus Christ;
2. to celebrate God's presence through shared prayer and
liturgy;
3. to welcome all who are interested in membership in our
school
community, to emphasize our rich diversity, to reverence our
uniqueness, and to reconcile our differences;
4. to educate students to be aware of the needs of others
and to be of
service to one another and the community as a whole; and
5. to provide citizenship experiences which will prepare
students to
function as members of a free American society.
